Urenco is a technical, nuclear company where they produce enriched uranium. Due to these processes there is a strict procedure with regards to security.

The uranium is used in nuclear power plants. To enrich the uranium they use ultracentrifuges.

But what is the best way to get to know something in a safe way about this technical company? In this Job Discovery students learn about the tasks of a process operator and perform some of the actions by themselves in a virtual control room. To enrich uranium

The goal of this Job Discovery is to enrich uranium in a centrifuge in virtual reality. The students manage the valves to determine the optimal flow.

During the process they need to pay attention to the rotation speed and the filling speed of the centrifuge. At the end of the process the enriched uranium is shipped to clients all over the world.
